摘要

The objective was to develop an alternative type of capacitor material by using a hydrostatic pressure technique to improve the dielectric properties of an inorganic niobate glass/ceramic. As a result of the basic research that was conducted with this technique, the dielectric properties were improved to such an extent that the resultant energy storage surpassed that of state-of-the-art organic capacitors and satisfied current military requirements for high energy storage for laser applications.
