Development of 30mm Projectile Non-Destructive Recovery Fixture.

H. P. White Laboratory designed and fabricated a fixture for the non-destructive recovery of inert, fuzed 30mm projectiles. The design goals for the fixture were determined to be: Compatibility with test barrels currently in use by Frankford Arsenal; capability of being adapted to barrels which might be provided even though physical features of these barrels may vary from that used for initial design; and, capability of providing non-destructive recovery of 30mm projectiles.
