The subroutine, PLOTS, which was incorporated in the BRLESC Finite Element Computer Program is presented in the report. PLOTS is written in FORTRAN IV; it calls standard BRLESC plotting subroutines which plot finite element grids, deformed finite element grids, and contours of any component of stress or strain and of temperature. Finite element grids, whether deformed or undeformed, are plotted one element at a time. In deformed finite element grids, the actual nodal point displacements are greatly magnified and then added to the original nodal point coordinates. The resultant deformed grid is plotted over the outline of the undeformed solid. The option to plot an enlarged portion of a grid is available. Contour locations are calculated by linear interpolation between function values at the center of each element. Contour points are plotted on the cross section of the solid. The required input cards for plotting are discussed and examples of plotted output are presented. (Author)
