摘要

The report is divided into two sections. In the first, electrochemically modulated optical specular reflectivity was studied by complex plane analysis to obtain kinetic information about adsorption-desorption processes. Measurements of the underpotential deposition of lead on gold resolved the potential and frequency domains where kinetic and/or diffusion control predominate. In the second part, a methodology has been developed for following rapidly small changes of the ellipsometric parameters delta(0) and Psi(0) and of the reflectivity necessary for the unique determination of (n bar) = n - ik and thickness of a surface film. Examples are given of the application of this technique to the electrochemical interface of Pt and Au electrodes. (Author)
