The report summarizes the results of a one-year research program undertaken to investigate the design specification of an LSI Modular Building Block with possible applications to Naval Systems. The investigation essentially consisted of four areas:Definition of problem areas including applications,organizational requirements and design tools;Definition of functional blocks for specific applications in particular digital differential analyzers;Organization and design of the AX+B module,in particular,various logical designs of the AX+B module and,simulation studies to evaluate both AX+B module designs and specific application configurations.
