The Huggins freezing technique works well on outdated (21days old), rejuvenated blood. Both fresh and outdated-rejuvenated blood samples may be restored at 4C for at least 4days in Fenwal Elutralyte S-4solution after thawing,via the Huggins procedure. (Author)
