Rapid Reciprocal Changes in Rat Tissue Enzyme Activities Following Epinephrine Injection.

Epinephrine infusion into the rat portal vein produced rapid changes in the activities of certain hepatic, epididymal fat and skeletal muscle glycolytic enzymes and fructose diphosphatase. A dose response was demonstrated. Pretreatment with actinomycin D did not alter the response. Insulin altered the response of the epinephrine and vice versa. (Author)
