A Miniculture Cytotoxicity Assay System Measurement of Cell Number and Viability by Laser Cytograf.

A multiculture system employing confluent monolayers of embryonic human skin fibroblasts has been developed for the purpose of in vitro cytotoxic screening of chemical materials. The parameters of observation used in these experiments are cell number and cell viability as measured in trypan blue dye exclusion. These measurements were automated by the use of the Model 6301laser Cytograf. (Modified author abstract)
