摘要

Plasticity theory is applied to the analysis of soil-wheel interaction. The problem is reduced to the determination of stresses at the interface of the rigid wheel and the soil. Once these stresses are known, the wheel load, torque, pull and drag are obtained by integrating the stresses along the wheel perimeter. To find the distribution of interface stresses, the basic differential equations of equilibrium are combined with the Coulomb-Mohr yield criterion for soils and the equations are solved by a numerical procedure. The numerical solution scheme and the computer program which accomplishes the solution are described in detail. (Author Modified Abstract)
