PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF “STAR” PACK CUSHION INSERTS

The objectives of the study were two-fold: (1) Modify 'Star' pack cushion inserts to provide more uniform cushioning protection and most cost effective pack; and (2) determine adequacy of previously published 'Star' pack performance data for representing current 'Star' pack performance. Evaluation of three sizes of Fast Packs indicate that previously published data does represent current 'Star' pack performance. Improved performance data are presented for three sizes of Fast Packs in the form of Peak-G versus Item Weight Curves.
