INFLUENCE OF STRESS ON PRECIPITATION AND COARSENING IN ALLOYS

摘要

The objective of this program was stated to be "a more complete understanding of the effect of stress on solid state processes and its concomitant effect on microstructure and properties". It was proposed to investigate the effect of applied and residual stresses on precipitation and coarsening of coherent precipitates in alloys.
