This report describes the final results of the continued evaluation of the Norwegian Long-Period Seismic Array (NORSAR) by Texas Instruments Incorporated at the Seismic Data Analysis Center over the period 1April 1973to 30September 1973. The major areas of study were:Noise analysis;array processing performance;effectiveness of matched filters;surface wave detection capability;and,performance of standard surface wave discriminants. A total of 133Eurasian events and 36noise samples were processed and analyzed during this period. The results were combined with earlier data,when applicable,in order to maximize the data base.
