Wideband High-Speed Data Rate Recording Concepts and Systems.

The report is the result of a study to investigate the state-of-the-art of wide band,high speed data rate recording and transmission technology. The objectives of the assignment are: Discover hardware capable of recording in the multi-megabit range;Reduce costs through location of new techniques or hardware that can be adapted to the present system; Examine new high density techniques (i.e. holography,lasers,etc.);Investigate high access capability;Look into condensation of data and transference to other media;and, Explore the availability of high data rate and high capacity operational equipment.
