Experimental Measurement of Oscillator Strengths in Neutral Xenon using the Roschdestvenskii Hook Method.

Experimental measurements were performed of selected transitions between the two lowest excited levels in xenon gas,the 6s-6p'blue transitions. Interference fringe patterns produced by a Mach-Zehnder interferometer,with the electrically excited xenon in one beam,are analyzed spectrally in an attempt to obtain relative f-values.
