摘要

In the context of optical devices,the need for blue light emitting devices forms the basic motivation for the present study. The inherent luminescent efficiency of the II-VI compounds and their direct band gap make these materials a natural choice for this work. In the present work the author described a method of doping ZnSe with Na acceptors and Al donors. Photoluminescence data suggest that a strong blue band pair transition between Al-donors and Na-acceptors exists in ZnSe doped with these impurities.
