A Frequency Divider Using a Charge-Coupled Device.

A scheme for using a charge-coupled device(CCD) as a divided-by-n counter is proposed,and a possible method of implementing it in an integrated version is described. The proposed counter is non-binary and usable for arbitrary n. The relative merits and limitations of the integrated CCD frequency divider are discussed. (Author)
