Modular Design for Radar Comparative Analysis. Volume II.

摘要

The development of a special purpose computing unit called the Flexible Processor designed for use in side-looking radar image processing systems is described in this two-volume report. Recent hardware developments have demonstrated on-line digital change detection,using special purpose computing logic sections which achieve an image processing speed capability in excess of one-hundred times that of large general purpose computers. This early equipment is reviewed and compared with a modular design concept based on the use of several Flexible Processors,which work together to implement the image processing algorithms. This volume contains the detailed logic description and the instruction formats.
