Mechanical Behavior of 18Ni (300) Maraging Steel During Rapid Heating and at Elevated Temperatures.

The mechanical behavior of 18Ni (300) maraging steel was determined in constant loading rate,short-time elevated temperature tensile tests at loading rates of 4000to 400,000psi/sec at temperatures from 75to 1200F and in heating rate tests with concurrent constant loads equivalent to 25to 85percent of the room temperature yield strength for heating rates of 50to 400F/sec.
