摘要

Techniques were developed for infrared spectral characterization of samples separated by high performance liquid chromatography. Samples in the range of 30-40micrograms were chromatographed with essentially analytical resolution using a Corasil II column. Fractions trapped from the chromatograph were concentrated onto approximately six milligrams of potassium bromide and examined in the infrared as micropellets using a beam condenser. Consistently good spectra could be obtained using these techniques when injecting samples in the range of 30-40micrograms into the chromatograph. Separation and spectral characterization of nitroglycerinethyl centralite, a composite modified double base propellant extract, paranitrololunene, dinitrotoluene and trinitrotoluene, (TNT),TNT-tetryl and HMX -RDX are discussed.
