Specification and Design of Software for a Digital Stores Management System.

摘要

The report specifies the functions which must be performed by the software of a digital stores management system for a general,multi-purpose fighter bomber and a general mix of tactical weapons. A design for the software is suggested with the 17major subroutines of the program presented in flow diagrams. Organization of the data required for and produced by the Digital Stores Management System is discussed and formats for storage of this data in a 16bit word,core memory is described. The following conclusions are drawn:The stores management software will require more than 9000words of core memory;the system will simplify the stores management process for the pilot;the system should be implemented in a higher order language using modular programming techniques.
