Baseline Data from Tests Conducted on Standard MS Tube Fittings.

This report contains the results of tests conducted on MS flareless tubing fittings for use as baseline data for comparison with advanced aerospace fittings. In order to establish a 'baseline'with which to compare test data derived from tests conducted on the new generation of tube fittings,the MS standard flareless fitting was subjected to all of the tests designed for this test program and classified as a Class II fitting. Since,however,these fittings are designed for 3000PSI and 275F maximum working pressure and temperature,they were tested at these parameters instead of the 4000PSI working pressure and 450F maximum temperature designated for the new type fittings (Class 1).
