摘要

Transonic longitudinal dynamic stability tests of three afterbody configurations of the Jupiter, W14nose cone are reported. The tests were conducted in the 1-Ft Transonic Tunnel of the Arnold Engineering Development Center. The pitch damping parameter and the static stability parameter were obtained from free-oscillation tests at Mach numbers from 0.4to 1.5. All three configurations of the model were found to be stable throughout the Mach number range. (Modified author abstract)
