Finite-Element Analysis of Edge Effects in Angle-Ply Composite Laminates.

摘要

A three-dimensional finite-element modelling and analysis technique has been developed and used in the evaluation of edge stresses in angle-ply composite laminates. Excellent results have been obtained for the initial application to a four-ply plus or minus 45degrees laminate in tension and the method is potentially applicable to holes,notches and other boundaries of arbitrary geometry.
