Evaluation of Rochester Differential Pressure Flow Gauge,

摘要

With the critical flow rates required for safe operation of semi-closed circuit SCUBA,it was deemed necessary to provide the swimmer with a safety device to indicate that the proper flow is being maintained. Under a Bureau of Ships Contract,the Rochester Manufacturing Company developed such a device using a differential pressure gage to indicate the flow. The results of the tests of the prototype indicate that the gage is accurate and reliable with various flow orifices and through a range of depths from the surface to 297feet with varying mixtures of nitrogen and oxygen. Other gas mixtures will require separate orifices. (Author)
