摘要

The wavelength spectrum of a CW pumped Rhodamine 6-G organic dye laser is observed to shift approximately 150Angstroms toward shorter wavelengths when pumped by 30nsec pulses at a one megahertz repetition rate from a cavity-dumped Argon laser. Experimental evidence of the shift is presented,gain and rate equations are developed for a simplified dye laser model,and theoretical results are obtained for a computer simulation of the experimental results and satisfactory agreement is obtained within the limits of the values of the parameters used and the assumptions made in formulating the model.
