1,2,4-Benzotriazine 1-Oxides at Antifolate-Antimalarials

The work reported herein, outlines the research done by Parish Chemical Company under Contract Number DADA-17-73-C-3133. This work was directed towards the preparation of 3~amino-7-substituted phenylsulfonyl-1,2,4-benzo-triazine 1-oxides;a general route to this series was found. Two other desired series of compounds, 3-amino-7-substituted phenylthio-1,2,4-benzo-triazine-1-oxides and 3-5.mino-7-substituted benzylamino-l,2,4-benzotriazine 1-oxides were not prepared, however, the reactions involved in their attempted preparation is summarized.nCompleted screening data and list of compounds prepared and submitted is included within this report.nDuring the contract year five target compounds, five new compounds, eleven known compounds and two intermediate compounds were submitted.
