Towards Shorter Wavelength Lasers and Breaking the 1000Angstrom Barrier II (Bound-Continuum Emission).

摘要

Bound-continuum lasers in the vacuum ultraviolet are discussed,and criteria are developed for their realization. Furthermore,the possibility of a new CW laser in the vacuum ultraviolet (1550A) from H2,HD and D2is investigated. It is pointed out that in a two temperature,continuously operating discharge,this laser is highly feasible.
