A Review of Some Experimental Measurements on Detectors for Trace Chemicals in the Atmosphere.

摘要

A number of detectors for trace contaminants in the atmosphere have been developed and tested for environmental measurements, military surveillance, and law enforcement. This paper summarizes the work done by an Army laboratory in the area of detector development and evaluation, and speculates on future evolution in this important area. Detectors subjected to development and evaluation included electric quadrupole mass spectrometers, thin film detectors, biochemical sensors, dogs, ion mobility spectrometers, electron capture devices, condensation nuclei detectors, and remote sensors.
