Cyclometallation Reactions Part 16. Some Reactions of Eta-Cyclopentadienylruthenium Phosphine Complexes.

摘要

Ortho-metallation of several eta(5)-cyclopentadienylruthenium complexes are described. The complex (RuMe(eta5-C5H5)(PPh3)2) affords (Ru(C6H4PPh2) (eta(5)-C5H5)- (PPh3)) which with CF3C2CF3 gives the heterocyclic compound (Ru((C(CF3):C(CF3))2C6H4PPh2)(eta(5)-C5H5)). Reactions between (RuMe(eta(5)-C5H5)(PPh3)2) and a variety of azobenzenes yield novel ring compounds (RuC6H3YN:NC6H4)Z(eta(5)-C5H5)(PPh3)) (Y = H, Z = R; Y = R, Z = H). Mechanisms of the various reactions are discussed and the azobenzene metallation reactions were extended to C6F5N:NC6F5. (Author)
