摘要

The work on solar radio instrumentation and research carried out by the Sagamore Hill Radio Observatory is described. Besides quantitative measurements of the radio emission of the quiet-sun and bursts over a wide frequency range, Sagamore Hill's effort is directed toward development of improved radio patrol instrumentation, spectral analysis of radio bursts, and research on burst processes and solar-terrestrial effects. The principal data source for Sagamore Hill's research is its own patrol observations, but high-resolution investigations of solar active regions are also carried out. (Author)
