摘要

The flow and ionic conductivity of oxide glasses have been studied as a function of temperature and volume by the application of pressure. The results were related to hardness and chemical strengthening of glasses. Theoretical expressions have been derived to calculate hardness and elastic modulus from chemical composition. From such understanding, new glasses of high hardness have been made.
