Prevalence of Cariesfree Naval Recruits from Cities with Fluoridated and Nonfluoridated Water Supplies.

The recruit population at Naval Training Center Great Lakes provides an opportunity to observe caries-free adult males as a unique study group. During the last 15 years the prevalence of caries-free recruits has increased fivefold. This change is strongly related to fluoridation in public water supplies. (Author)
