Approximation of Pearson Type IV Tail Probabilities.

摘要

Simple approximating functions for tail probabilities of the Pearson Type IV distribution are obtained by using the B sub n transformations and by truncating the continued fraction expansion. The behavior of these approximations is then investigated for various values of the parameters and levels of the tail probabilities.
