Boiling Range Distribution of Petroleum Fractions by Gas Chromatography.

Gas chromatography has been found to be a useful technique for obtaining more detailed information concerning the boiling range distribution of petroleum fuels than that obtained by the standard distillation procedure. The application of an ASTM procedure, which uses gas chromatographic analysis, to the analysis of wide-cut aviation turbine fuels has been studied by the Fuels and Lubricants Laboratory and the results obtained and comments on the procedure are presented in this report.
