Application of a Rapid Threading System for Internal Threads.

Internal and external threads can be machined using a programmable controller with a closed loop feedback system. This system controls a hydraulic servovalve for locating tool infeed. Cycling of the lathe is accomplished by an electrically controlled, hydraulically actuated, sequence operated attachment that automates the normal motions of a machinist. Accuracy and speed of operation highlight advantages.
