Evaluation of an Enclosed Wire Buried Line Transducer.

This report describes preliminary field evaluation of an enclosed wire intrusion detection transducer. The main objective was to evaluate the response of the transducer to various stimuli and generate a data base of the signals from these stimuli for use in further investigations. Data were gathered on targets under various frost and snow ground conditions. Sensitivity measurements were made along the length of the transducer and repeatability measurements were made at single points along the transducer as well as along the length. Recommendations are presented for possible applications for this device, as well as for additional experimentation that should be completed. (Author)
