Transition to the New Generation of Data Communication Interface Standards.

摘要

This NCS Technical Information Bulletin describes the purpose and interrelationships of an evolving family of new Federal standards for interfacing users's data terminal (or data processing) equipment with telecommunication systems. Each of the new standards, including their provision for transition is also described. Additionally, the commonality of features of specific interfaces are identified which will facilitate design of universal data terminal equipment to meet the spectrum of user applications. The path is clearly shown from where we are today to where we want to gracefully evolve. (Author)
