Reclaiming Used Antifreeze.

摘要

A potential shortage of ethylene glycol base antifreeze raised questions as to whether its useful life could be extended or whether it could be reclaimed. This study covers two approaches. One approach covers a three-step plan to remove contaminants from the antifreeze and reinhibit it for use. The other approach involves adding reinhibitors directly to untreated used antifreeze. Data indicate that it is possible to restore used antifreeze to an acceptable quality level.
