摘要

An experimental investigation was conducted to verify that the recently developed high-alpha missile roll-damping test mechanism could be used to obtain the roll-damping characteristics of slender missile configurations and to obtain roll-damping,Magnus,static-stability,and axial-force characteristics of a typical missile configuration. The verification tests were conducted with the Basic Finner Model at M = 0.22and 2.50. Additional test results were obtained with a Modified Basic Finner Model for Mach number 0.6through 2.5.
