A method to obtain the AC and DC describing functions of asymmetrical nonlinear systems is presented. The method is further extended allowing determination of the asymmetrical oscillations from a given transfer function and its nonlinear input. Examples are included illustrating the use of this method for various nonlinearities. (Author)
