摘要

Sensitive and specific assays are described for the quantitation of mefloquine in whole blood, plasma or urine specimens using high performance liquid chromatography. Ethyl acetate extracts of blood and plasma were chromatographed on a microparticulate normal phase column whereas ethylacetate extracts of urine were chromatographed on a microparticulate reverse phase column. Sensitivity of the assay was determined to be 50 ng/ml of mefloquine in blood and plasma specimens and 250 ng/ml of mefloquine in urine specimens. These assays have been demonstrated to be suitable for use in pharmacokinetic studies of mefloquine in man. (Author)
