摘要

This report describes the development and testing of a 3-D,finite difference computer code used to estimate the currents and voltages induced on an arbitrarily shaped object when illuminated by a plane wave gamma source. The application of the code is for performing calculations to aid in the prediction of close-in EMP effects on systems. Included is a description of the way the physics of the problem is handled by the code,the methods used to obtain numerical solutions,the results of comparison tests and conclusions and recommendations.
