The papers discuss bifurcation problems in such areas as elasticity theory, fluid dynamics, geophysics, astrophysics, meteorology, statistical mechanics, and chemical kinetics. There are also two papers of a more mathematical nature: the volume begins with a discussion of analytical methods for bifurcation problems and concludes with a paper on numerical approaches to bifurcation questions.
