Multivariate Statistical Problems in Meteorology.

摘要

Brief historical reviews are: given of some of the multivariate statistical problems in meteorology with suggestions for improving the current state of the art. Topics covered are statistical aids to local forecasts, time series analysis, statistical-dynamical forecasts, and probability forecasts using logistic models. It is shown that techniques for fitting multivariate mixed models to time series can be modified and applied to statistical-dynamical forecasts. (Author)
