摘要

The migration of triplet excitation energy among formally identical carbonyl groups in acetonitrile was investigated. Advantage was taken of the special chemiluminescent properties of tetramethyl-dioxetane. It was found that energy transfer from triplet acetone to the ground state of the aliphatic carbonyl compounds investigated occured with a rate constant of ca. 1,000,000/m-sec essentially independent of the steric constraints of the acceptor. Unlike many other carbonyl compounds it was determined that the self-quenching rate constant of acetone triplet was less than 1,000/m-sec. (Author)
