On the Accuracy of the Positions of Celestial Objects Determined from a Linear Model.

This report discusses the positional accuracy obtainable from the local reduction of the topocentric coordinates of a celestial body in the topocentric reference frame. Both a theoretical and numerical analysis are provided. The method of dependences, the four constant plate model, and the six constant plate model are considered. The purely arithmetic results were obtained via Monte Carlo simulations. (Author)
