This document provides the maintenance programmer personnel with the information to effectively maintain and use the AUDIT software. The AUDIT software examines FORTRAN computer programs or modules developed under the SESCOMP system for compliance with certain prescribed standards (SESCOMPSPEC's) and produces reports detailing the deviations from those standards. The AUDIT software also examines a program unit to detect and report improper use of undefined variables along the program unit's possible paths. In addition, AUDIT has an option which enables the user to test the effect of changes in word length on the output of computer programs. This document describes the entire AUDIT software,explains its applications,and gives a detailed description on how to use the software. (Author)
