Development of an Air-Driven Alternator for the XM734Light-Weight Company Mortar Fuze.

Development of a turbine/alternator (T/A) power supply which also provides a second arming signature for the 60-mm Light-Weight Company Mortar Fuze, designated the XM734, has been advanced to include a production-engineered design. The XM734 fuze has undergone extensive advanced development testing, with the T/A having provided highly satisfactory operation. The XM734 T/A, described herein, is a cost-effective version of an earlier development model. (Author)
