The report completes the documentation of SCOUR2 development and calculations. The results of approximately fifteen calculations of nuclear dust clouds are summarized in this report. They include surface burst calculations from 32.5 KT to 20 MT, and the results of the first SCOUR calculation with a precursor flow field (36.6 KT at 350 ft HOB). These results, although superseded by later SCOUR calculations, provide an excellent introduction to the predictive capacity of the SCOUR code. A comprehensive comparison is made between the SCOUR code predictions and experimental observations of the near-surface dust clouds produced by the MIDDLE GUST II (100 tons TNT) and MIXED COMPANY (500 tons TNT) high explosive detonations. Included are the results of the most recent (1975) SCOUR calculations that were made with an improved version of the SCOUR code. These results indicated that the nominal SCOUR prescription of dust lofting and diffusion parameters appear to be appropriate for the positive and early negative phase of these HE blast wave events.
