摘要

Experiments on injection of a 1.5 McV, 50 kA, 20 ns high-current electron bear, into neutral pas are described. The conditions are found under which the amplitude of the return current induced by the primary electron beam in the plasma it creates is 2-3 times higher than the beam current. It is shown that the observed effect can be explained by beam-plasma turbulence theory and the characteristic of the equivalent electrical circuit of the experiment.
